I have to say, i love sweets.... No diet or lifestyle is complete without it.
I love homemade treats, it creates more opportunity to control content, as well as ingredients. I wanted to get outside of the box and get creative. So here goes:
Ingredients:
1 cup of All Purpose Flour (no rising agents)
1 cup of light Brown Sugar
1 stick of Butter (melted)
1 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
1/8 tsp of Kosher Salt
*1/2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips (a nice edition is white chocolate chips or cocoa mix)
1 large egg
*1tsp of peanut butter-optional
2 sprays of Pam Canola Oil
Next: Step-By-Step Easy Chewy Blondie Brownies...
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Get a mixing bowl, add the whole stick of butter. Place in the microwave in 15-20 seconds until melted.
Add 1 cup of light brown sugar, mix until smooth and no lumps are present. Add the vanilla extract, kosher salt, and 1 large egg, mix thoroughly until fluffy (5-10 seconds). Add 1 cup of flour, mix until all flour is evenly mixed, (it should look like a nice caramel/butterscotch brown).
Lastly add the tsp of peanut butter for a nice swirl and your chocolate chips, stir and evenly disperse chocolate chips in blondie batter. Oil your baking dish,, pour batter in and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Let Blondies Cool for 5 minutes, and you got yourself a terrific treat. I cut them into squares for portion size and accessibility.
