Kale with a Twist &&& Bacon

And Fellow foodies.

I hope your taste buds are humming.

I love kale. My husband loves bacon. So i thought one of the best ways to have harmony and great chemistry is Compromise.

Kale is rich in Vitamin K and Calcium and a huge staple in the Cruciferous family of dark, leafy greens veggies.

Here's A simple recipe that will make your family pleasantly surprised and your insides Happy! Enjoy.

Kale with a sweet Twist

Ingriedients:

1/3 cup of chopped bacon/ bacon bits
3 to 4 cups of raw kale (washed and lightly dried)

3Tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1Tsp of coarse black pepper

1 pinch of salt

* for added spice * 1 tbsp of Chili powder, gives the dishes or side a great chipotle flavor.

Prep time 2-4 min. Cooks in 3-5 min.
Directions:

Heat your skillet or saucepan to medium/medium-high heat.

Wash your kale before cooking. Pat lightly and place 3 to 4 cups of kale in the Sauce Pan.
Add 3 tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, light drizzle coating the kale.
Stir, then add a pinch of salt, 1tsp of coarse black pepper stir again. Kale will wilt as heat increases. Lower the stove heat index to low, lightly toss around the pan.

Added zest smell the aroma tickling your senses. Stay present in the moment. Finally add bacon finely shopped and bacon bits.

Serve.

A special note to Vegetarians & Vegans: skip the bacon, add tofu, or a nice sugar snap pea, maybe carrots, or bean sprouts.
